Home Learning Autumn 2020
As we begin the new academic year, we know things are a little different. Everyone is working incredibly hard to make sure our school stays open every day. There may be a time where we have a confirmed case of Coronavirus. When this happens, school will work closely and follow the clear advice from Public Health England.
There may be times when children need to stay at home. These are:
- If they are showing one or more of the 3 symptoms of Coronavirus
- If their sibling is showing one or more of the 3 symptoms of Coronavirus
- If someone in their bubbles has tested positive for Coronavirus
- If they, or someone in their family, test positive for Coronavirus.

Learning is such an important part of childhood and we know how detrimental the past 6 months have been for many children. Schools across the country have needed to think about what their home learning package looks like. We know that many children do not have access to the internet at home so for them, an online learning platform is not an option.
We also know that learning needs to be relevant and follow a similar pattern to learning in school. Because of this, teachers will produce half termly home learning packs to support children who need to stay at home. These packs will be printed for all children, when they need them. Learning packs will need to be complete and brought into school upon your child's return. If you prefer, you can also complete the learning activities electronically and email them back to the class teachers.
